"Truck driver's gear modulation" is a common way for uninspired songwriters to give a possibly boring song end a little more punch, generally by singing the chorus again, by just a half (or complete, or two, nevermind) tone above the rest of the song.The fact is : it works.
The truth is: it should be strictly forbidden. Cos' it's too easy, and (sigh) way too efficient.
